Ultimately as leaders, we should be trying to find a way to add more value than anyone else does within our schools. We simply need to be that person that does more for others. However, we must work harder on ourselves than anything else. Why? because when we become more intelligent, more confident, more effective, we can add more value to other peoples lives.

Have the Right Vision. This means having your own vision. We all have a great need for acceptance in this world but we must trust that our vision and beliefs are our own and unique. Leadership is about giving a new perspective to things. You need to determine where you want to be and what you want to achieve. People buy into why you are doing it, not what you want to achieve.
Develop Positive Relationships. According to research, our relationship with others is our best guarantee to improving focus and concentration, as well as lowering our stress levels. When you genuinely connect with other people, the pleasure-inducing hormone is released into your bloodstream, helping to improve focus and reduce anxiety. Share a positive emotion with others like being kind, showing interest and having gratitude.
Be Committed. If you expect your team to be productive and work hard, you have to lead by example. Prove your commitment to your role, department, and school. It will not only earn their respect but also instill similar levels of energy among the team.
